The goal of the Literary Lighthouse is to empower creative voices!

Cynthia Giles is a professional spoken word artist and public speaker whose had the opportunity to speak at Carnegie Hall in New York, Graceland – the Home of Elvis Presley, the Fox Theatre in Atlanta, Georgia and many other venues. She’s featured as a spoken word poet (speaker) at conferences, retreats, schools, business functions, special celebrations, radio, and television. When she was given the opportunity to speak at Carnegie Hall for a second time, she realized that the most inspiring leaders really should focus on raising up leaders! That’s when she had the idea to give an aspiring poet the opportunity of a lifetime: to open up for a show with a poetic piece at Carnegie Hall in New York City!

While she will still be hosting the show as Master of Ceremonies, she believes that giving back is paramount to becoming fulfilled in life. She has a heart for teaching aspiring spoken word poets and speakers the fundamentals for excellent stage presence. She believes this performance opportunity through the Literary Lighthouse will encourage personal achievement and professional growth for leaders of all ages.

Cynthia has operated a coaching program for public speaking, spoken word poetry, creative writing, and general mentorship for several years now. Although her program is for all ages, her current mentees are youth who are passionate about public speaking, poetry, and making a difference.
